The numbers of Wolverines have declined due to hunting and fur trapping.
Wolverines are omnivorous. They feed on carrion, large and small mammals, eggs, fish, roots, fruit, plants, berries, and birds.
Wolverines are one of the largest mustelids. A large head, a rather heavy build, massive limbs, small and rounded ears and a short tail, characterizes them.
Wolverines have been hunted for in order to get their highly valued fur. As their fur is frost resistant, it was widely used by people living in the Arctic.
